Safe Winter Driving for EVs
Saturday, March 5
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Bandimere Speedway, Denver
Yes, we advocate for Electric Vehicles but E-bikes are also great!
Help us raise money to give away an E-bike for Christmas.
We need 72 people to pitch in $25. Our goal is to raise $1,500. This will cover the cost of a new E-bike, including assembly and safety check.
Women Who Charge will work with a local Denver church to identify a suitable candidate that would find an e-bike useful in their daily commute.
Our campaign to give away a free e-bike can help to raise awareness of e-bikes as a micro-moblity transportation option.
Please support us. We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit. So, your contribution may be tax deductible.
Rise and Ride, an event staged by Women Who Charge, was held on Saturday morning, October 2, and got a great turn-out for an early morning event. Attendees got a free cup of coffee and a donut, and a chance to win free prizes.
Rise and Ride introduced residents in the Five Points neighborhood to Colorado CarShare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping communities live a car-free lifestyle, which has installed a car-sharing location on Welton Street near 29thStreet.
LaSheita Sayer, President of Women Who Charge, says more than 50 people stopped by. “Repeatedly, we heard phrases like, ‘I didn't know "x brand" had an EV,’ ‘I love the look of that car,’ and ‘This is such a good idea to be able to see the options,’” Sayer added. “We’re delighted at how successful the event was.”
Women Who Charge saw a great turn-out at our booth at the 38th Annual Colorado Concours and Exotic Sports Car Show on September 12. Attendees were able to check out the latest models of EVs and ask questions of volunteers and automotive representatives.
Women Who Charge hosted the Five Points EV Strike Zone, an EV car show, on July 10, as part of a Denver-wide celebration leading up to Major League Baseball's All Star Game at Coors Field.
A number of recent EVs models were showcased amidst some fantastic live music -- the focus of the Jazz Along Welton festival, hosted by the Five Points Business Improvement District.
All the bustling activity drew music lovers and car enthusiasts to the Women Who Charge event, and our wonderful volunteers were on hand to answer questions about what it's like to own an electric vehicle.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
